(Austin, TX) — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is firing back at UT-Austin professors suing to block the Campus Carry Law from going into effect August 1st. Paxton calls the lawsuit “baseless” and plans to defend the law vigorously in court. The three professors say armed students in the classroom would stifle discussions on emotional issues like abortion and that’s a violation of the First Amendment.
