Around 60-thousand people are expected to attend today’s “March for Israel” rally in Washington D.C. Several National Guard units will be on the scene to assist DC police.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser told reporters yesterday that the National Guard will be deployed at certain traffic safety points, redirecting vehicles and blocking intersections. The mayor made it clear that even though the event is being called a march, those attending are not expected to move away from their position on the National Mall.
