(Ottawa) — One-tenth of Shopify’s workers will soon be out of a job. That’s according to the Canadian-based e-commerce company which announced the layoffs that’ll affect around one-thousand people. Shopify surged in popularity during the height of the pandemic, but its CEO admitted he was wrong about how long the good times would last. The announcement sent Shopify’s stock plummeting by double digits.
