Sir Chloe is an American indie rock band based in Vermont. The members of this band include Dana Foote, Palmer Foote, Austin Holmes, and Teddy O’Mara. The band has released singles, but their album Party Favors is the group’s debut ep. Right off the bat, the first track Squaring Up is a great start to the band’s style. The track is about a guy trying to ask out Dana, but Dana knows it is a bad idea and questions whether she is up for this relationship.
The vocals of Dana Foote are fantastic which is shown throughout this project. July is the next track, and it is another great track. I noticed throughout this ep how the songs flow well with each other. Animal is a song with different tempos throughout the song. The goes fast and things are picking up, but then the song slows down with Dana’s lovely soft vocals.
Untie You is another track that keeps the same energy as the others with the mix of Dana’s vocals and the instrumentals in the background work great together. The next track Easy on You is one of my favorites of the whole ep. The tempo with this track is very energetic with the help of the instruments and vocals. Wrath is the complete opposite with more of a slower tempo and the tone of the song is more sadness pushing her towards madness.
Too Close is another favorite of mine off this ep. Just like every song on this ep, Dana Foote vocals are amazing and the range from soft to heavy is amazing. This continues with the next song Sedona, with Dana talking about how her relationship is like an addiction. The last track of the ep is Michelle, with the singer talking about having the lust of someone and the singer hating it.
This is a great project by Sir Chloe, to say the least. It has beautiful vocals by Dana Foote and each song flows well together. Each track is amazing from start to finish. This is an easy recommendation and I hope you give Party Favors a chance.
