More than 12-hundred members of the Texas National Guard will soon be setting up two-dozen mobile coronavirus testing sites statewide.
Gov. Greg Abbott announced Monday that the first two sites will be in Floresville and Fredericksburg, and will be able to conduct about 150 tests a day.
Floresville is the site of a state-run veterans’ home where ten residents and five staff members have tested positive.
Abbott said 23 more teams of doctors and soldiers will set up at locations chosen by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
