Michigan State Head Coach Retiring after 13 years

Michigan State’s head coach Mark Dantonio has announced his retirement after coaching for 13 seasons with the Spartans football team.

At 63-years-old, Dantonio went 114-57 at East Lansing and leading Michigan State to Big Ten titles in 2010, 2013, and 2015. He had a 6-6 record in bowl games. In his final season of coaching, he led his team to go 7-6 on the year.

Michigan State’s defensive coordinator, Mike Tressel, will be the acting head coach until they find a replacement.
