Patrick critical of Bush’s choice of words in Alamo redesign dispute

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick is taking issue with Land Commissioner George P. Bush’s choice of words in a dispute over renovations going on at the Alamo.

A group called Save the Alamo incorrectly claimed Bush planned to put a statue of Mexican General Santa Anna at the famous Texas shrine.

Bush denied the claim, and tweeted that it was a racist thing to say.

On Tuesday, Patrick criticized Bush’s charge, saying people who disagree about the redesign of Alamo Plaza aren’t being racist to express their concerns.
