Cruz says House hasn’t proved its case for impeaching President Trump

Texas Senator Ted Cruz says the case to impeach President Trump hasn’t been proved.

The Republican spoke Thursday morning on Fox and Friends and mocked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for saying she would wait until the Senate sets its rules for the trial before sending over the articles of impeachment, suggesting she wait until election day to do so.

He said House Democrats have impeached Trump without actually accusing him of a crime.
