Kawhi Leonard beats Coach Pop and former team 103-97

The Clippers hosted the Spurs last night in the awkward family reunion of Coach Popovich and Kawhi Leonard.

Kawhi’s second team since leaving San Antonio is still the leading team to go to the Finals and win it in just 6 games into the season. Leonard was on fire with 38 points with 12 rebounds and had 4 steals in the 103-97 win. Montrezl Harrell is having an all-star caliber season so far, especially last night with having 24 points and only missing 2 shots from the field.

For San Antonio, LaMarcus Aldridge had a quiet night, only scoring 5 points and 5 rebounds in the loss. DeMar DeRozan stepped up with having 29 points with 7 rebounds while Derrick White had 20 points and 3 three-pointers in the narrow loss.

The LA Clippers will host the Utah Jazz on Sunday while the Spurs will travel to play the Warriors tonight at 9:30.
