Colts’ QB Jacoby Brissett MRI shows an MCL sprain

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett’s MRI results on his left knee revealed an MCL sprain.

Coach Frank Reich said this Morning that Brissett will be back to play this Sunday against the 1-7 Miami Dolphins.

Brissett left the field during the second quarter in yesterday’s game against the Steelers when guard Quenton Nelson was back peddling and landed on his quarterback’s left ankle.

After throwing 4 for 5 with 59 yards in the game, veteran Brian Hoyer came in to finish the game and had a surprisingly solid back-up performance. He went 17 for 26 with 168 passing yards with three touchdowns. The Colts ended up losing the game 26-24 in Pittsburgh.

The now 5-3 Colts had won three games in a row coming into last Sunday and are now in second place under the Houston Texans in the AFC South.
