It’s tanking time in Cincinnati!
The winless Bengals will look to rookie Ryan Finley to try to “win” games this week aa they head into a bye week.
To make matters worse for Dalton, he was told that he will be benched for a rookie on his 32nd birthday…
Head coach Zac Taylor said “Ryan has put in a lot of extra time these first eight weeks, like any backup quarterback does. Everything I’ve seen from him shows us that he can handle it.”
Ryan Finley was picked in the fourth round out of North Carolina State in the 2019 draft. He will now join the alumni group of NC State starting quarterbacks including Philip Rivers, Russell Wilson, and Jacoby Brissett.
The three-time Pro Bowler Andy Dalton has thrown nine touchdowns with eight interceptions just this season. He was leading the league in passing yards for the first couple of weeks but possibly ended the season with 2,252 yards.
The Bengals will face Lamar Jackson and the deadly Ravens on November 10.
