Texans J.J. Watt out for the season with chest injury

Houston’s hero and star defensive end, J.J. Watt is done for the season after tearing his pectoral muscle in Sunday’s 27-24 win over the Raiders.

Watt made an amazing behind the line tackle on the Raiders’ running back Josh Jacobs and was later moving his arm around in discomfort. Watt then went to the Texans’ blue medical tent but then immediately went to the locker room.

Watt tweeted after the game: “This game can be beautiful and it can also be brutal. Absolutely gutted that I won’t be able to finish the season with my guys and give the fans what they deserve. I truly love this game and can’t stand letting you guys down. Thank you for all of the thoughts & well-wishes.”

The good news is that coach Bill O’Brien said that the chances of trading Watt, as most inconsiderate NFL teams do these days, are “slim to none.”

Houston will miss the hometown hero for all the work he has done to help his second home. Watt was determined to help his fellow neighbor during hurricane Harvey hit Houston and is still raising money for victims of more floods to this day.
