Study: Texas is home to five of the nation’s ‘most miserable’ cities

A new report from Business Insider says five of the nation’s 50 “most miserable cities” are right here in Texas.

Port Arthur came in second on the list, just ahead of Gary, Indiana.  Brownsville ranked 12th most miserable, followed by Huntsville at 20th, Harlingen at 39th, and Pasadena at 48th.

Business Insider based its rankings on census data having to do with unemployment, crime rates, poverty, and length of commute.

California had ten of the most miserable cities, more than any other state.

Texas ranked fourth, with five of them.
