A Selena altar for Day of the Dead is now on display in downtown San Antonio.
The altar, called “La Reina” which translates as “The Queen” in honor of the late Queen of Tejano music was unveiled on Sunday at the corner of South Alamo and Market streets.
The altar stands ten feet tall, and is made with more than two-million beads.
Dozens of Indian artisans in Mexico created the altar over a two-month period.
It’ll be in place until Sunday, November 3rd.
