The Houston Rockets beat the reigning NBA Finals champions, Toronto Raptors 118-111 yesterday in Tokyo.
The returning dynamic duo of Russell Westbrook and James Harden both led the team with 22 points each. Harden had an off night from beyond the arc with only hitting one 3 pointer, but Gordon led the team with splashing 4 of his own. Overall, the team was 17 for 64 from the three-point land.
For Toronto, Norman Powell led his team with 22 points and going 5 for 7 on three-pointers. Pascal Siakam racked up 16 points and 7 rebounds in the loss. The overlooked star of the team, Fred VanVleet had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Rockets will host their Texas rival Spurs next Wednesday with a tip-off of 7 PM.
