Lakers’ Anthony Davis scores 40 points and 20 rebounds in their victory

Anthony Davis was balling out last night against the Grizzlies even with a sore shooting shoulder.

With his shoulder tapped up, AD put up 40 points with 20 rebounds in the Lakers’ 120-91 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. He set a franchise record for the free throws made in a game with 26, passing teammate Dwight Howard back in 2013.

Davis now joins an elite club of players who have made 25 or more free throws in a game including Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, and Adrian Dantley.

The quote that has the NBA trembling in fear even before Halloween was when Lebron James said that he doesn’t “even think he’s scratched the surface yet.”

The Lakers are now 3-1 on the young season but it makes the franchise-best start to a season since an 8-0 record in the 2010 season.
