Food delivery robots are on their way to the University of Houston campus. Starting later this fall, students will be able to order food on campus and have it delivered by a robot.
The slow-moving robot will travel mostly on sidewalks, guided by sensors and cameras.
The manufacturer, Starship Technologies, says each robot is locked until the customer opens it with a coded command from their cell phone.
The robot is equipped with sirens and a tracking system to keep it from being stolen.
