Steelers Sign QB Paxton Lynch

After Ben Roethlisberger’s season-ending injury, the Steelers were left with Mason Rudolph to lead the team. They recently acquired back up QB Josh Dobbs and have now signed former Bronco and Seahawk Paxton Lynch to the practice squad.

Lynch was the 26th overall draft pick in the 2016 draft by the Denver Broncos. He started 4 games in which he only won one game. The 6-foot-7 QB threw 4 touchdowns with 4 interceptions and had 792 passing yards.

At 25, Lynch was released from the Broncos, and was then signed by the Seahawks, but did not end up making the 53-man roster. He will look to work his way off the practice squad to help the Steelers win their first game of the season.
