Larry Fitzgerald is now 2nd in NFL’s All-Time Receptions

The Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald is now 2nd for all-time receptions in the entire NFL.

At 36, Fitz has passed the Hall of Fame tight end, Tony Gonzalez with a 15-yard catch in the Cardinals loss to the Seahawks 27-10. Larry was going into the game needing five catches to get 1,326 career catches in his 16th season.

When the humble Fitzgerald was asked about his accomplishment, he said “I don’t mean any disrespect to guys on the all-time list but it’s hard to take anything good from losing two in a row at home, three home games out of four, and we don’t come out with a win, that’s pretty depressing, so there’s not much to really be happy about.”

At second place, Larry now has to catch up to one of the best receivers of all time, Jerry Rice, who was actually at the game to congratulate Fitz. The 49er legend has 1,549 all-time receptions.

Rice later congratulated Larry on Instagram, giving him the title of “GOAT.” Game recognizing game.
