A former professional basketball player is dead after being shot in Dallas.
Police say Andre Emmett was approached by two men while he sat in his car early Monday morning.
There was an altercation and the 37-year-old was shot as he tried to run away.
The former Texas Tech star was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Emmett played briefly for the Memphis Grizzles and New Jersey Nets before joining Ice Cube’s BIG3 basketball league.
