Eagles Lighten-Up Practice Due to Injuries

After the many injuries, the Eagles had in the loss against the Falcons last week, they had to change the practice schedule to just a walkthrough.

Philadelphia’s head coach Doug Pederson said: “I don’t want guys missing practice reps, if we’re going live today, there would be a few guys having to miss practice, and I don’t want that.”

Wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson were both injured in the first half of last weeks game. Also on the offensive side, running back Corey Clement also injured his shoulder and tight end Dallas Goedert injured his calf.

Pro Bowler Carson Wentz also had an apparent rib injury but later denied the claims and said he felt fine.

The Eagles will host Matt Stafford and the Detroit Lions this Sunday. The Lions are coming off a close win against the Chargers last week where receiver Kenny Golladay had 117 yards.
