Senator Ted Cruz of Texas says Congress should investigate the conversation between President Trump and the head of Ukraine, but he doesn’t trust the Democrats to do it.
The GOP senator says he believes the Democrats in the House have already made up their minds to impeach the president, without even investigating the matter.
Cruz says he has more confidence in the probe being conducted by the Senate Intelligence Committee.
He also points out that the transcript of the call revealed no illegal quid pro quo on Trump’s part.
