Governor Greg Abbott says Pickens was a passionate man who didn’t compromise his principles to get success.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz called Pickens a friend who embodied Texas values and had a passion for others.
Land Commissioner George P. Bush called Pickens a dedicated supporter of the community.
All three also thanked Pickens for his support of American energy independence. Pickens passed away Wednesday at the age of 91.
