Lubbock’s first ever Camp Bark and Brew

Whether you have a furry friend or not, everyone is welcome Saturday, March 23, from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. to join Lubbock’s first ever Camp Bark and Brew in the Depot District.

There will be dog races, stupid pet tricks, a dog parade, contests, yoga with your dog and many, many other activities for the whole family.

This is another huge project organized by all 42 Lions Clubs in this district from Snyder to Plainview, Muleshoe to Roaring Springs and every club in between with 6 clubs in Lubbock!

Camp Bark and Brew is an effort to raise awareness for the Texas Lions Camp and Leader Dogs for the Blind.

You can expect lots of food trucks out there along with your favorite restaurants which will be open in the Depot District.

The event is free but there is a charge for some activities like the dog races. Overall, this will be a great place for the whole family to hang out on Saturday.

Our own Karin McCay is also one of many presenters lined up to entertain crowds in the Cactus Theatre.

She will be reading her children’s book, Marvin and the Giant Bubble, at noon. Karin will also be sharing another story which involves a new character, Molly the dog.

How appropriate that she will unveil this story at Camp Bark and Brew.
