San Antonio, TX — A Bexar County Sheriff’s deputy is under arrest on claims he choked a family member during a fight.
Deputy Michael Dewitt was arrested this morning by San Antonio police after his girlfriend claimed he attacked her during an argument.
Sheriff Javier Salazar says Dewitt is on administrative leave and is promising the case will be handled swiftly and severely.
Dewitt is the 22nd deputy accused of a crime this year.
