Corpus Christi, TX — A woman is going to be spending the next 55 years in prison for her role in the death of a transgender woman.
Chloe Huehlefeld received the sentence today and is eligible for parole.
Defense attorneys unsuccessfully argued Huehlefeld was a “victim of circumstance” saying she witnessed Stephani Montez’ 2017 shooting death but didn’t take part in it.
Nueces County prosecutors successfully argued the woman helped plan the killing which they believe was over stolen money.
Two others go to trial next month.
