Washington, DC) — Port of Corpus Christi is on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ work plan for next year.
The work plan released today shows the federal government is planning to spend 59-million dollars on expanding the ship channel.
The feds had already promised over 30-million in funds for the project.
Port CEO Sean Strawbridge says the cash shows how much faith the government has in the port as an exporter of crude oil.
The entire project should cost 360-million.
