(Dallas, TX) — The findings of a search warrant at Botham Jean’s apartment are now a matter of public record.
After off-duty Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger fatally shot Jean last week in his own home, several warrants were issued as part of the investigation.
One warrant executed in Jean’s apartment turned up two fired cartridge casings, a backpack with police equipment and paperwork, a ballistic vest with police markings, ten grams of marijuana, and a marijuana grinder, among other items.
Attorneys for Jean’s family complained that the finding of drug evidence was made public the same day as his funeral.
