(San Antonio, TX) — After the highest pump prices in four years, gasoline is likely to become more affordable in the weeks ahead.
With the arrival of fall, the price at the pump usually drops as summer vacation demand lets up and refiners switch to the cooler-weather fuel blends.
Industry analysts say drivers may see the price go down as much as 25 cents a gallon as we head into autumn.
It may not match recent local fall prices of about $2 a gallon.
San Antonio drivers were paying an average $2.51 a gallon as of Monday’s Labor Day holiday.
