(Singapore) — Facebook says it will invest more than a billion dollars on its first data center in Asia. In a statement released today, Facebook says the eleven-story data center, to be built in Singapore, will support hundreds of jobs. It’s expected to open in 2022. Facebook is joining tech heavyweights Google and Microsoft in pouring serious money into network infrastructure in Singapore to power their online services.
