Day Care Where Boy Died In Hot Bus Ordered To Close

(Houston, TX) — The Houston day care center where a toddler died after being left in a hot bus for hours is being ordered to close.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission has revoked the permit for Discovering Me Academy.

On July 20th, three-year-old Raymond Pryer was left in the day care’s bus after a field trip ended at 2:30 p.m.

The boy wasn’t missed until 6:30 p.m., when his father came to pick him up, and he was found in the bus.

Temperatures inside the bus reportedly reached 113 degrees.

The day care is appealing the order to close.
