(Dallas, TX) — Senator Ted Cruz is on his way to Dallas for the first debate against his Democratic challenger tonight.
About 400 people showed up Thursday for a Cruz campaign stop at an Italian Restaurant in Webster, near Houston.
Cruz is pulling away from challenger Beto O’Rourke in his race for re-election in November.
Cruz and O’Rourke face off at Southern Methodist University tonight in the first of three debates.
The second debate will be in Houston on September 30th, and the third in San Antonio on October 16th.
