Lady Raider Volleyball defeats Northwestern State Demons

The Lady Raiders open up their season against the Lady Demons of Northwestern State in the Red Raider Classic in the United Supermarkets Arena.

The Lady Demons in 2017 had a 15-17 overall record and went 10-6 in the Southland Conference. Northwestern State had a lot of turnover from the previous season bringing back most of their roster.

The Lady Raiders and Head Coach Tony Graystone want to improve their 19-15 record from 2017 along with their 4 wins in conference play. In their first match, the Lady Raiders win all 3 sets in an impressive fashion. Winning the first set 25-21, 2^nd 25-22 and 3^rd set 25-16. The Lady Raiders will rely on their 3 seniors Kyndal Cowan, Katy Keenan and Missy Owens to elevate and bring this team along to many victories this season despite having 13 underclassmen.

Texas Tech will host the North Dakota Fighting Hawks tonight at 7 P.M. in the United Supermarkets Arena, the Lady Raiders will be looking for their 2^nd win of the season.
