(Houston, TX) — A suspect is being identified in the murder of a prominent Texas Gulf Coast doctor.
Houston police say Joseph Pappas targeted Dr. Mark Hausknecht last month because his mother had died during surgery years ago.
There is concern Pappas might commit suicide and he hasn’t been seen for several days.
He’s got balding dark hair, dark eyes, and a mustache.
Police are crediting a tip with identifying Pappas.
Hausknecht was shot to death July 20th while riding his bike towards Houston Methodist Hospital.
He’d previously treated former president George H.W. Bush.
