(Austin, TX) — The Department of Public Safety may shut down dozens of driver’s license offices.
DPS officials are looking at possibly closing as many as 87 low volume offices around the state.
The plan would kick in next year if approved.
As many as 78 counties could be without its own driver’s license issuing office if the measure prospers.
