(San Antonio, TX) — The city is offering a plan to help the financially troubled San Antonio Symphony become more capable of supporting itself.
Part of the plan calls for a full-time staff to help run the business end of the organization.
The plan also says the orchestra must become more involved in the community.
The city and Bexar County took an interest in the symphony’s problems in the spring, when money troubles nearly shut it down.
The symphony was able to complete its season in the black.
