(Houston, TX) — Westbury residents are a tad jumpy after learning one of their neighbors is the suspect in the fatal shooting of a prominent Houston cardiologist.
Houston police said Wednesday morning that a search of a home near South Post Oak and Willowbend in southwest Houston was related to a murder investigation, but didn’t say which one.
Police later confirmed that the owner of the house, Joseph Pappas, is suspected of killing Dr. Mark Hausknecht.
Pappas’s mother died more than 20 years ago as Hausknecht was performing surgery on her.
