(Austin, TX) — The Democratic challenger to GOP incumbent Senator Ted Cruz is begging off a debate between the two that was proposed for this coming Friday.
Beto O’Rourke said on Monday in Austin that the August 31st debate in Dallas won’t be happening, but several other debates likely will.
In July, Cruz challenged O’Rourke to five debates in five cities on different topics.
O’Rourke countered with a proposal that included a sixth debate in El Paso, O’Rourke’s hometown.
