(Houston, TX) — NASA plans to announce on Friday the names of the astronauts who will fly on the space agency’s first commercial crew flights.
Eight astronauts will be assigned to initial test flights and subsequent missions to the International Space station.
These astronauts will be the first to fly the SpaceX Crew Dragon and the Boeing Starliner.
NASA named three of the eight in 2015.
Four more NASA astronauts, plus one from Boeing, will be announced Friday morning at the Johnson Space Center.
