(Houston, TX) — We now know the names of the astronauts who will be the first to fly spacecraft owned by commercial companies.
NASA announced on Friday morning that the Boeing Starliner Test Flight will be manned by Eric Boe, Nicole Mann, and Christopher Ferguson.
The Starliner First Mission crew is Josh Cassada and Sunita Williams.
The Space X Dragon Test Flight will carry Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley.
And the Space X Dragon First Mission crew is Victor Glover and Michael Hopkins.
The astronauts include veterans from several branches of the military, some of whom were test pilots.
Several flew on space shuttle missions.
