(Washington, DC) — Two Texas military bases are among the state’s facilities that are gearing up this summer to house more illegal immigrant adults and children.
A Defense Department spokesman says the government has requested space for 15,500 detainees at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo and Fort Bliss Army Base in El Paso.
In addition, new and renovated facilities are opening in various places along the Texas-Mexico border.
