(San Marcos, TX) — The parents of a man injured in last month’s apartment fire in San Marcos are suing the apartment complex on his behalf.
Zachary Sutterfield suffered burns on over 70 percent of his body, along with a head injury.
Karl and Deona Jo Sutterfield have filed suit against the owners and managers of the Iconic Village Apartments.
The lawsuit claims gross negligence and premises liability, and says Zachary Sutterfield is entitled to medical expenses, pain and suffering, and other damages.
The fire killed five people and injured many others.
