(Dallas, TX) — The federal government still disagrees with a lower court’s decision to clear the way for the merger of AT&T and Time Warner.
The Justice Department filed an opening brief of more than 70 pages on Monday in its appeal of the case.
The brief said Justice had “established reasonable probability” that the merger would “substantially lessen competition.”
The government’s move in the court of appeals comes after the $85-billion deal closed last month.
