(Irving, TX) — Federal officials are joining the investigation of the partial collapse of a parking garage in Irving.
Part of the top level of the garage on Fuller near Highway 114 caved in shortly before lunchtime, and about five hours later, another part of the garage collapsed.
The second collapse happened shortly after firefighters started allowing some drivers to retrieve their cars from a stable part of the structure.
No word yet on what may have led to the collapse of the garage, which was built in the 1980s.
OSHA is now involved in the investigation.
