(Sumner, TX) — About 160 suspected illegal immigrants are under arrest after federal agents raided a Lamar County manufacturing plant on Tuesday.
Nearly 300 federal agents closed in on Load Trail, a trailer company in Sumner, not far from Paris.
Homeland Security agents and immigration authorities were acting on information that the company may have deliberately hired illegals.
The agents detained employees who reportedly used fake ID’s to be hired.
The suspected illegals are at three ICE detention centers in Texas and Oklahoma.
