(Irving, TX) — The partially collapsed parking garage in Irving is now condemned, and people whose cars are still inside it are wondering what to do.
City officials condemned the structure on Wednesday, the day after part of its upper level caved in and smashed 21 cars.
Dozens of undamaged cars are still parked inside the garage on Fuller near Highway 114.
The owners don’t yet know when or if they’ll get their cars back.
Engineers on Wednesday were trying to figure out if the cars can be retrieved safely or if the garage will have to come down as-is.
