Border Patrol Nabs Smuggler Using Fake EMS Vehicle

(Falfurrias, TX) — Border Patrol agents are reporting the arrest of a man who tried to smuggle three people into the U.S. in a fake EMS vehicle.

Agents at the Falfurrias checkpoint say a white SUV had a lightbar on top and was marked with decals identifying it as an emergency vehicle when it approached on Tuesday.

But a K-9 wasn’t fooled, and a chase resulted.

Agents captured the driver, a 30-year-old American citizen, and his three passengers.

They were identified as Brazilian nationals who were in the U.S. illegally.
