Bell Lands Half-Billion-Dollar Contract For Helicopters

(Fort Worth, TX) — Bell is the recipient of an order for more than two dozen military helicopters worth half-a-billion dollars.

The Department of Defense announced the deal on Thursday.

The contract is for the production and delivery of 29 helicopters for the Marine Corps’ H-1 upgrade program.

Bell’s Fort Worth plant will do 60 percent of the work, with the rest to be done in Amarillo.

The job is expected to be done by early 2021.
