Alamo Plaza Redesign Plan Still Unpopular With Much Of Public

(San Antonio, TX) — San Antonio residents are still skeptical about plans to change the layout of Alamo Plaza.

A Monday night presentation of the latest proposal revealed that an unpopular glass wall is no longer in the picture, and the longtime route of the Battle of Flowers Parade will still pass in front of the Alamo.

But the Texas General Land Office and the Alamo Master Plan Management Committee still plan to move the Alamo Cenotaph from alongside the Alamo to the edge of the plaza.

City Council is expected to vote on the plan in September.
