Accused Killer Of Doctor Was Selling Possessions Before Crime

(Houston, TX) — The suspected killer of a Houston doctor seems to have been planning to disappear after the crime.

The Greensheet website says Joseph Pappas’s phone number was listed in ads offering furniture for sale, such as a bedroom set, a china cabinet, and a sofa.

All the ads were placed on July 19th, the day before police say Pappas killed Dr. Mark Hausknecht.

Pappas reportedly transferred the deed to his Westbury home to a woman in Ohio, also on July 19th, and didn’t pay the 2017 property taxes on the house.

Pappas is still being sought.
